I began photography quite by accident. A good friend of mine twisted my arm to direct her wedding... which in the south meant that if anything went wrong the day of her wedding, it was my job to fix it. Of course having gotten married only a year before, I had big opinions on what was important during weddings. To me (then and now), photography was the MOST important element. After the cake has been eaten and the flowers have wilted, the photos are the most vivid, accessible memories you have left. Needless to say, I wound up with a friend’s SLR camera around my neck as I told the bride when to walk down the aisle. From then on, I was hooked. My pictures have most certainly gotten better since that hot July day and my photo interests have expanded with a new addition to my family. While I still love brides, my passion is newborn, children, and family photography.

Even though I have retained my Alabama phone number, my family has relocated to Huntersville, NC. I'm becoming accustomed to cheering for NASCAR and the Panthers, but my heart still belongs to the Crimson Tide... home of my alma mater where I received a BS in Advertising while minoring in Studio Art.

Because of my ties to Alabama, I travel back often and enjoy booking shoots that coordinate with my travel plans... meaning you can book me in either North Carolina, Alabama, or anywhere in between!

Please contact me to see if I can meet your photography needs and God Bless!
